Father Keith Boettner

Father Keith grew up in Frostburg, a little town in the mountains of western Maryland. After graduation from Frostburg State College with a degree in Elementary Education, he moved to northern Virginia to accept a teaching position with Prince William County Schools. While in Virginia, he also completed a Master's Degree in School Counseling at Virginia Tech. These were fourteen great years where he had a job he loved, met and married his wife Melanie, and was active as a layperson in a growing, orthodox Episcopal parish.

It became clear as time passed, however, that God was calling him into another level of ministry. With the guidance and support of his parish priest, family, and trusted Christian friends, he began to pursue the possibility of ordained ministry. Several doors opened, and in 1996, he went to Cranmer Theological House in Shreveport, Louisiana.

After three challenging, enriching, blessed years at Cranmer House, he was made a deacon and served at St. Thomas Church, Little Rock, AR, with Dr. Robert Bowman. A year later, he was ordained a priest and moved to Columbus, Ohio, to become rector of St. Anne's Anglican Church. In July, 2005, he and Melanie moved to Memphis to serve at St. James Church.
